There’s a sense of raw urgency in 5th of Four’s music. The Washington, DC-based rock band is impossible to ignore with stadium-worthy solos, fearless lyrics, and a high-octane live show that’s pure adrenaline. Lead singer Faith Hayden blends the smoky tonality of Patsy Cline with the swagger and attitude of David Lee Roth. A bit punk, a bit emo, and a whole lot of grit, 5th of Four is redefining what it means to make rock ‘n’ roll fun again.

5th of Four includes a cadre of well-established local artists including Hayden (lead vocals), Mitchell Norton (rhythm guitar/backing vocals), Trent Burns (lead guitar), Karlin McNeill (bass), and Mort Rolleston (drums). In 2024, the band was voted by Washington City Paper readers as the “Best Original Rock Band” in the DMV. 5th of Four was also a finalist for multiple Wammies in the 2026 Best Rock Artist/Group, Best Rock Song, and Best Hard Rock Song categories.

Singles include “Sheryl & Axl,”  “Sparks,”  “Little Bastards,” “Shades of Gray,” and “Bad Things.”
